Why is this happening? Is it a glue thing or a snap thing?

I installed some dashcam wires in the upholstery, so I don't if that caused this. Then again, I bought it used, so maybe it was always there. I noticed I was missing a upholstery fastener, as well.

    What to do?

Usually the round edge will slide up and grab the headliner with these 90° little hooks and then you swing up the square edge and put the screws in up above the glasses holder and then it should stay if it doesn't you can slide something like a piece of cardboard up in that edge on the headliner or maybe glue it to the plastic feature working with and then slide the headliner into that piece you made a little bit narrower with the piece of cardboard slide it in carefully then swing up the other end and put in the screws and see if it's a little tighter up against the headliner A little goop would help that too but you may not want to be taking it down again once you do that it might pull some of the headliner off so make sure everything is done up there and you're not going to need to do this again.

Let's start with the physical part. So you are saying there are some hooks on both the roof and the part that I might be able to interlock once again? If I can just get that part done, I'll be happy for now. The gluing I'd gladly review, if I could just keep it from looking so precarious, as it does right now.

    Thanks for the insight.

Drop the eyeglass holder take the screws out of the little pins out whichever it is The whole thing will come down and be supported by just the cable and the wiring for the lighting then you can look at the edge of that whole plastic piece and see if the little clips have broken off or what is going on. Maybe it's plastic and it slid out of its little holder I don't know this is a generation 3 we've not had to take out this part and looks like since the cars are blown up we're not going to have to take out that part.

I pulled a couple of these out today after you remove the two silver or gold screws the thing is held up in four places by the same white push pins that hold on your door panels more than likely the person that has the thing hanging the two that are furthest towards the back of the car of probably come undone and are just either broken or whatever so take the screws out the two were the gap is that will probably just pull down and then the two that are closest to the mirror once you have the edge that's hanging pulled down more you can reach a long screwdriver pry bar I use an insulation knife and wedge it between the sheet metal and the plastic lamp holder assembly the piece were taking down and pull down gently and those pins will release from the holes they're in then you're going to put new pins and everything when you go to put it back you'll see once you have it in your hand.

Oh, so after pulling the thing down. I will see that I likely will need to replace some pins correct?
