Occasionally when I lock the car (using the buttons on the door), I get a long beep instead of the acknowledge beep that shows the car was locked.

What does that long beep mean? I assume it means the car wasn't locked, so I hit the lock button again, and then get the correct sound. But WHY didn't the car lock the first time?

I think maybe I’m doing something wrong, and want to correct it if I can.

- There is room behind the windshield defroster to cut a hole in.

I recently got a 2008 prius that was imported from Japan. And finding out the main key fob drains the battery after like 3 days and the 'spare' doesnt work at all. And so I'm looking to get a new fob and use the chicken dance method to program it. The issue is that I cannot find my exact key model.

My fob is a black logo with two buttons, so no panic button. It is basically impossible to find the exact model (B21TA). I've found after market B23TAs and was wondering if anyone...

I have a 06 Prius w/Nav and Back-Up Camera that needs a new MFD. Build date is 6/06.

I keep seeing two different part numbers on ebay:

86110-47220
86110-47071

Which one is the correct one? I know the -47071 one also fits the older 04-05 vehicles, so I wonder if it is the low-resolution model. However, one wrecking yard said the unit that came out of their 06 Prius was a -47071, so now I am not sure.

Any advice?

As delivered, it requires that the 12V outlet in the Prius be active so it can be plugged in there to jump the car. As I understand it, the outlets in the Prius aren't active (all the time) unless you do something about it. The MULTI5.PDF in the library doesn't show it being a dealer-settable option like I remembered.

I just bought a 2008 Prius and the seller has lived with an audio issue for the last couple years. When I go to play the radio there is no sound, but when I turn the volume knob to level 1 the speakers max out. I went to settings and set the audio to only play through the rear passenger speaker. The same issue occurs and when I turn the volume up further the other speakers go in and out as I twist the volume knob and always at max volume. It's the original radio. Any suggestions?...
