The service records that I have:

• 5k interval oil changes by first owner for the first 80k (Carfax)

• Second owner claims 3k oil change interval from 80k-147k (skeptical of this)
• Water pump replaced at 40k (unsure whether engine or inverter coolant pump)...

It is really really hot outside right now (90ºF most days). The A/C system on my Prius as not cooling at all. I am unsure of the history of care for the air conditioning, but here's what I can say from an inspection:
1. Through the sight glass, refrigerant appears to be flowing fine with no bubbles at all.
2. Console screen HVAC test reports no faults.
3. Compressor is running...

The "buzz" was every 4trh-5th press of the pedal, now it is every press. I'm getting worried ill lose braking suddenly.

It wouldn't start last Thursday and AAA towed it to a local Toyota. They said I needed a battery and a belt replaced. Belt maybe, batter probably not.

Drove it around and it died later that night.

The car's dashboard was dead and the red triangle of death would come on if placed in drive. It would not turn off. Saturday morning (it turned off somehow) It could start it and it would go into reverse but not drive.

When parking & pushing park button followed by pushing the power button to turn it off - it will appear to turn off. About 5 seconds later it will turn itself back on (or at least the MDF and dash lights appear to say it's on). Another push of the power button seems to finally really turn it off. I am facing a very frustrating issue with my Gen 2 Prius (2007) and really need some expert advice.

Background:

A few days ago, I discovered that the trunk was severely flooded (water accumulated in the spare tire well and heavily leaked into the left side quarter panel area). The car locked up, threw a P/S warning on the dash, and the radiator/cooling fans under the hood (front of the car) started running at maximum speed continuously as soon as the ignition was turned on....

I have a 07 Prius that just had its hybrid battery fixed and codes cleared. I drove the car to test out everything and now I’m getting some sort of knocking sound when the engine is off. I ordered a BRAND NEW (not reman) cv axle from rock auto and it does NOT have that round rubber nor do any of the passenger side cv axles they sell as you can see in this photo:

I heard on other vehicles that this is to reduce vibration BUT not sure if I am suppose to remove the one off my OEM and install on the new axle or if you are...

Cleared the U0293 code and it worked fine. Got in it yesterday and same thing, this time clearing code didn’t work. Put in a new 12v battery, no change. Checked the fuses under the hood, all good. $200 harbor freight scanner gives these codes

I bought my 2008 Prius base with 170k miles on it 3 weeks ago; a refurbished hybrid battery was installed ~7 weeks ago. I drove to a city 180+ miles away for the car.
