I was in the hospital and rehab before I could attempt charging the primary battery. By then, the 12V battery was dead and the charge port wouldn’t open.

In a few weeks I will be leaving for a 10-day business trip. I will leaving my 2025 Prius PHEV (with solar roof) vehicle at the airport when I am gone. I have the option to park under a canopy or on the roof. I will have used most of full EV charge on the trip to the airport.

I can’t decide whether to try to charge from the sun while I’m gone or protect my solar panel from the possibility of hail by parking under the canopy (ensuring also my car doesn’t get too hot)....

My car sat about 10 weeks and my 12V battery is dead. I can't positively locate the hood latch with my fingers. I think I find it but it but it won't budge left or right. I need help describing its location and which way to push it to open the hood. Is it on the driver's side of center line?

Once I get the hood open and charge the 12V battery, I should be able to start the engine, open the charge port, etc.
