Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice on a pretty serious issue with my 2012 Toyota Prius c.

I lost all my keys and had to call a local locksmith. He wasn’t able to program a new key, could get lights to turn on dash and everything, so he called another locksmith to help. After trying, the second guy told me that the first locksmith had somehow deleted all the key information and caused an ECU-related issue. He couldn’t get the lights on dash to light back up

I ended up having the car towed...

I drained the radiator and then the engine block and only got a few dribbles out of that, basically the tube I attached filled up but not much more.
I ran in maintenance mode until fan came on and it's still full so now I'm confused, why did it only take...
I already know one day it will either not start at all or the battery will go out completely, but any other damage to the converter or engine? It’s definitely not running as smooth, about 90% of what is used to be, and a rougher transition at slow speeds going from electric to gas engine.
I am in the middle of replacing the 16363-21060 motor for the radiator fan for a 2014 C one, it's a bit tricky because the A/C radiator shares the same plastic base at the bottom that also supports the radiator for the engine.
If you pull up the engine radiator, the A/C radiator also comes along. Also the A/C radiator metal tubing interferes with pulling up the assembly composed of the fan & engine radiator if you simply move the A/C radiator forward.
I think two people are needed...

Hey everyone. After parking my Prius C outside for years some packrats seemed to fall in love with it this year and have been aggravating me to no end. Despite killing several of them they continually find my way into my engine bay where they have demolished my fender insulation, chewed through an ABS sensor wire and one of my headlight wires. I have been able to splice those but last night they chewed through one of the wires on the 6-pin EGR wires up to the plug.

That gets me to the main...

Hi All

My daughter has a 2012 Prius C with about 110,000 miles on it. She bought it used with one previous owner. The vehicle looks like it was relatively well maintained.

When should you replace the strut coils on it? Is there a set maintenance timeline or miles for it or is it only when you see cracks in it or do you measure the height of the ride?

Also, how often do you change the strut?

Thanks

Hey guys, just wondering if you have any indication of what’s going on. Car has 276,000 miles, absolutely great condition, however lately I’ve noticed the digital battery next to the clock has been going completely full more often. This is my second Prius C, and the green bars would never go all the way full, and when they did, the car would act funny and not run as smooth until the bars dropped backdown a little. Lately too, when I take my foot off the gas from getting up to speed Weather...
