Extended warranty on used cars

    I just purchase a used 2007 prius with only 11,000 miles. The original warranty is still good but toyota told me if I wanted to purchased the extended Platinum warranty, I needed to to it now.

    I have double coverage from now until May 2010. That seems silly. I don't understand why toyota could not offer it to me when the original warranty expires

    If anyone can explain I would greatly appreciate it.

    An extended warranty can be purchased anytime before the original 3 yr/36,000 mile warranty expires.

    you can get it here for a better cost than toyota.
