Prius iv w solar pkg - 20613 trade difference including all fees(trade allowance 10,900) my trade has almost 100000 miles 2007 honda civic ex--they are paying the balance of my loan 10900. I shopped for 8 months on and off. Putting deposit today. what do you think !
$29675 + tax gets a solar IV in Baltimore. If you are paying $20613 + your $10900 car then the transaction is $31513. MSRP is $31230.
Thank you - yes the msrp is actually 31646 it has a few extra options. It's difficult when you have a trade especially with almost 100000 miles on it. Several of the other dealers were at 21900 & higher 22,800 .... this appears to be the best I can do.
May want to shop your current car around and see what you are offered, so you can understand what you are really paying for any given Price for New Car less Trade combo. I'm going to guess that you could probably get a better deal on the Prius IV than 133 below MSRP, if you had no trade. However, it is possible that the 10,900 is more than you would get for your car if you sold it straight up--in which case the deal might be a bit better than it looks. truecar.com claims to have studies that say you average about 1% better on prices if you do not combine buying a new car with trading in the old one. I don't know if this is generally true, but it might be worth finding out in your case by comparing the two.
thank you! It's difficult because of the high mileage ---plus living in Massachusetts we have to pay that 6.25 sales tax ---if I trade I don't have to pay the sales tax again on that amount. have a nice holiday.
