Has anyone just recently purchased the platinum extended warranty from Toyota that is 8 years 125000 miles? With 0 deductible. If so would you mind sharing the cost? When do you have to purchase it? Is it completely transferable if you move to a different state? Never thought of purchasing but now that the engine light is on in my 2007 Honda Civic that I'm trading and it needs a cadilytic converter I may consider it. The mechanic I went to said he sees a lot of Toyotas with the cadilync converters needing to be changed by 100000 miles. Thank you! Still torn between Silver and Blue!
Gail, My advice is to not buy the Toyota Extra Care Platinum Plan extended warranty when you first buy your car. You have up until 3 years/36,000 miles (whichever comes first) to purchase the Toyota extended warranties. You barely gain anything from buying it now. FYI, I believe the present price for the Toyota Extra Care Platinum Plan 7 years/100,000 miles/$0 deductible is $1055 from PriusChat through WarrantyShack.com/Toyota of Greenfield, MA.
