I saw this European Honda Civic and was wondering if you have seen the nicest cars NOT found in the USA. I'd love to see pics.
2.8 L Diesel... We have a 99 Plymouth... damn fine little van, but I would have liked the 2.8 in it for damn sure.
This is the car I want imported in the US the most: gets the fuel economy of the original Honda Insight. (60-70mpg highway)
Saw that truck on the Top Gear Polar Special..... Diesel, 25 MPG and why it's not in the US I have NO CLUE. It's one truck I'd like to get my hands on.
Back in the 80's Toyota sold the pickup with a diesel option. Ford also had a diesel Ranger, but I don't think either was a good seller. When the GF and I went to New Zealand in 2004, I noticed that most of the small trucks and vans were diesel powered. Mostly Japanese small trucks, but also some Ford crew cab Couriers (Rangers) that I believe are made in Malaysia. Diesel was about $.20 / litre cheaper than unleaded petrol (gas for us in the US). I also saw a diesel powered [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_FJ40"]FJ40[/ame] which I would love to have as an off road rig.
Hey I thought that was my girlfriends car. Same model, same colour You should show a picture of the rear too as it has twin triangular exhausts. The dash is out of this world as it has a 3D type display similar to the 'touch tracer' on the Prius but for the speed and rev display. The model my gf has only has a 1.4 litre engine with 6 speed box. It's a little breathless but very economical and looks the part when wall waxed up
I don't have pictures, but Toyota sells a hybrid minivan in Japan. I believe that would sell like hotcakes here in the US.
