I was looking around on the Mobile 1 site. I'm going to call them tomorrow morning to try to find out if or when the may sell a cartridge version of their Extended Performance Oil Filter for our Prii. With the new 10K OCI for about 8 Toyota models, perhaps Mobile will see the new market and start making them.
While I was poking around, I found Mobile 1 Racing Oil, here. In their FAQ section they seem to me to be saying that the oil is only recomended for 'track' cars because of polution concerns/standards. Please see the thumbnail attached and add you comments. If the oil will extend engine life over the regular Mobile 1 0W-20 ..... Am I understanding it right? It the oil not compatable with emmission control stuff?

Could be that the extra additives for racing engines are not compatible with catalytic converters? Also racing oils are formulated to offer maximum protection for a few hundred miles and may not be good for 5K or 10K miles. Perhaps one of our oil experts will be able to enlighten us.

I am no oil expert, but I am betting that Tumbleweed is right & the extra Zinc and Phosphorus in the racing oil does not play nice with the catalytic converter in the street cars, should it get through to the exhaust system.
