:mod: Just got funding from CenterPoint Energy to do a research project involving PHEVs. Basically they want us to bring new ideas to the board that focus on the future PHEVs such as (but not limited to), new methods to improve efficiency, effects on the energy grid from mass production of PHEVs and how to solve those problems that can occur, secondary things PHEVs can do (provide backup power to critical components in a house during power outage), etc etc. I want to get some ideas from y'all in which you would like to see happen or what you want as an official research to be conducted and published. Is there something that PHEVs need to contain as a standard feature in the next generation perhaps? Is there some ideas that you think will make a PHEV more attractive or make it a better car? How about a turbocharger?:flame: No ideas are too crazy.
One issue that nobody talks about and is of relevant importance is a standard power connector , the one that will supply electric energy in order to recharge the PHEV. So far you could find standard connectors used in electrical appliances of different kinds and shapes to serve the purpose but not one dedicated to the electric automotive market of this kind.
