I have not had a car in recent years that did not have automatic running lights that brightened when it got dark. In my 2010 Type III Prius this is a manual process. I was told by the dealer that this was an option, of which I was not informed when I purchased the car, and that there is no way to install it now. Has anyone else had this issue or know of a fix.
You do know that if you turn on your headlights, you never need to turn them off? By default they turn off 30 seconds after you open a front door with the engine off, but the dealer can change that to 0 seconds if you prefer. (this was how Gen II worked) And they come back on when you start the car, all automatic.
