She's probably texting her accomplices to let them know that Phase 1 of the plan worked. Now they need to schedule an ambulance, CT-scan, and all of those orthopedic appointments. I got whiplash just watching it. My question is, who was responsible? Is the Prius driver better off because the whole thing was caught on camera, or will this make things worse? I couldn't see the surroundings sufficiently to ascertain whether she just walked into a busy street without looking or stepped into a crosswalk when she had a green light.

 

Personally I think she was taking a cell phone pic of the car then uploading it to her Facebook page so all 10,000 of her friends could ROFL at her.

 

Which would kinda change the situation, wouldn't it?

 

Not if you live in Oz, then it is right, left, right.

Did anyone else notice she was crossing on a Zebra Crossing? Drivers need to give way to pedestrians on a Zebra crossing however, it pays to look where you are going and check that cars are stopping.

 

A car passes directly in front of her, but on the other side of the street immediately before she steps into the street. This suggests that she does not have a green light.

The writing on the buildings is some sort of Asian script. The rules and customs may be very different there. But no matter where you are, it is not very bright to step into the street without looking.

It doesn't appear to have been taken from the vantage point of a car. I say cell-phone video by a pedestrian. There's a couple billion people in Asia. One of them's going to be taking video when someone does something stupid.
