I thought I saw it in a US ad some time ago. Can anyone confirm that the HS250h equipped with the HUD actually shows Touch Tracer functions? i.e. the buttons are mimicked on the HUD (as opposed to the dashboard like it is on the Prius)? I thought that's a pretty cool evolution of the Touch Tracer technology.
It would seem so ~ Lexus HS Hybrid - Features & Pricing - Interior but when the 2010 hybrid RX's first came out we went to the dealer asking about it. The sales shloemoe's eyes simply glazed over. I've never seen one or heard of one being talked about on any of the Lexus boards. Our neighbor's 250h doesn't have it.
They've SO gotta make the HUD available here in the states in the Prius. Yes, I could live w/o it but it's the geek/gadget guy in me that wants it.
Sweet, thanks! So I wasn't dreaming! Hmm, the folks here seem more enthusiastic about the HUD. It's very clear and sharp. I had them show me at the auto show. Our HS doesn't have a HUD option. Actually it doesn't have a lotta things like LKA PCS DRCC Wide-View Monitor APGS HUD But it does have one thing that you guys don't.... a power rear sunshade lol +1. Not necessary but the geek in me wants it. Plus, nav controls can be seen a lot easier.
