I noticed today that the dash light dimmer control doesn't affect the dash light intensity when the headlights are off. Turn it up or down, no change. It does work when the headlights are on. I seem to recall that the dimmer on my Prius used to control the dash light intensity both when the headlights were on and off (and this is how it's worked on previous cars), but no longer. Am I imagining this? Does the dimmer work on your car when the headlights are off?
When my headlights are off the only thing that changes with the dimmer is the intensity of the Start/Stop button. When the headlights are on it changes the intensity of all dash lights. I just had to go check though Stream, never noticed it did nothing with the lights are off (except the start buttons intensity...)
The dimmer on my V only adjusts dash light intensity when the headlights are switched on. When they are off, the dash shows at full intensity.
