Prius resale value is plummeting

It's not impossible to get such a good deal on a car...only implausible. Some people are truly gifted when it comes to negotiating. And, with the bad press Toyota has been getting, it makes for a perfect negotiating storm.

If what you say is true, then I am quite impressed by this deal. If you run across another deal like this one, feel free to send me a PM. At that price, I could be a 2 Prius family.

i am looking at a 2006 with 38,000 miles and they are selling it for $11,800. i am not sure to buy it or not. it is a private seller and i would pay a lot less in taxes when i register it. i saw a 2007 with 31,000 and a pkg 5 that sold for 12,400 on eBay just last week. but, it was a dealer.

 

Since the 3rd generation was launched the 2nd generation has come down in the UK - thats why I could afford one, but with petrol now touching £1.20 a litre (thats about US$1.53). A litre is 0.26 US Gallons. I don't think they are going to fall that much further.

 

My 06 had 30k more miles and was over $2000USD less during the Toyota witchhunt.
