I haven't be this excited about a Prius since I first got my 04. I unexpectadly traded in my 08 Prius for a new 2010 Barcellona Red one and picked it up this am. It's a really great car. I was worried about giving up some of the features of the 08 like the back up camera but the new features of the 2010 made me forget my fears real quick. I really love the new driver seating it's so much more comfortable then the Gen.2. I was really surprised though that they don't put a cover over the inverter and leave alot of wires exposed, especially the little wires and the plugs. I would think they will get covered in grime pretty quick. I just hope it's as trouble free as the Gen.2's were.
congratulations! i've been trying to hold out for the phev, but with a 2-3 year wait, my self control is waining. how did you do on price?
Actually I got what i wanted for my trade after the Sales manager made a mistake ( or so he said) but he did the honorable thing and honored his price. From what I read around here and see what others say about their dealer I guess I'm lucky to have a pretty good dealer both for sales and service.
you can't beat dealers who make mistakes in your favor and stick to it. they don't come along everyday,:rockon:
The 04, 05, 08 were really the same. I replaced the 04 and 05 only because, at that time, they held their value so well it made sense to just get a lower mileage car, since I put on alot of miles in a year (30-40k). The 2010 is truely an improvement though.
Hey, we have twin cars! I installed a Kenwood GPS/radio/Bluetooth/backup camera/etc screen in mine. The install was incredibly easy in this car, definitely a do-it-yourself kind of job. Give me a shout if you want to know how some time. Meanwhile, I hope you're enjoying the ride!
