    Then why aren't we making it a national priority to stand down
    from *each other* on the roads and concentrate on smooth and more
    efficient driving techniques, like RIGHT NOW?

    As much as I tend to be a pessimistic person, I think that with the technology we keep developing there are becoming more and more sources to drill for oil. I think by 2015 we will be drilling for oil in places we never imagined. The problem is that by the time we tap into the new sources, demand will outstrip supply and we'll be in a terrible predicament. Now is the time to start parking those SUV's.

    Why didn't that happen when oil hit $150/barrel a couple years back? There certainly was financial incentive to do so.

    If oil prices nearly double what they currently are didn't spur tons of drilling and investment into oil production, I don't think anything will.

    wy is the U.S. military bringing this news?
    so that there is more reason for military budget to set oil field save with military power of needed?
    maybe its better if other people bring this kind of news
    the
    U.S. military got nothing to do with oil supply
    if its a national problem than its more something of the Home land securty if any not the
    U.S. military
