I have the dash kit from Sherwood. They claim they are the only aftermarket to use real wood in their kits. I have them for 4 years and I have no problem with it. No cracking, peeling, etc.. See my signature.
I like the look of yours. Not too much, just the right touch. Can you tell me what site you got the kit from. Did it have the whole center console and you just chose not to apply it? Ease of installation? Other folks use other kits?
I got the same kit, easy to apply, looks great, love it!!! Do a search on the forum, there are a number of posts with pics!
I ordered mine from autoanything.com. They normally have 10% off coupon and free shipping. It was very easy to install, just stick it on. I did not apply everything that came with the kit, just the pieces that I liked.
^^ The stick-on is actually a good deal. I've seen one in person and it really adds a nice luxury-type touch to the car. And, who know how much it would cost to get actual wood panels as install kits...
Sherwood makes 3D kits where pieces mold around corners. There is no 3D kit available for Prius, last I checked.
Here is a pic of my dash... After last weeks 107 here in our little valley, it shows NO sign of releasing. Damn good Doublestick tape on these pieces! I also never used anything on the plastic, ie Armorall etc, so the initial wash with isopopyl alcohol just removed dirt, make sure, your sure, where you want the piece to go before you do it in place, it's very hard to move once down!!!
Hey I know this guy...Bob Bruninga, I thought recognized the callsign WB4APR. He's the author and brains behind the amateur APRS system. I thought I heard the name before. I have used APRS for quite a while when I was runnig a WX Station. Smart dude. The webpage is interesting, leave it to a HAM. Way to go!!
