Where do you guys purchase your cabin air filters and engine air filters? Is there a place online where they can be had cheap or do you guys hit the local auto parts stores (i.e. Napa) Thanks!
id suggest OEM. Forget the crap Fram filters. Best bet is to go to your toyota dealer's website and see if they have discount online prices for parts. My toyota dealer sells the air filter for $13.88 online and $18 over the counter.
if you buy an air filter online, you have to pay $10 shipping for a measly air filter. not really a bargain.
^^ Yeah but if you order a few then its worth it. Also pick up some oil filters while you're ordering.
ah i never tried that lol. i just tried to order one filter and it said $10 shipping and i was like Wth...
^^ Haha yeah I know what you mean. I was going to order some more LED bulbs but the shipping costs as much as the bulbs. I'm just going to wait and order some more things at once to save on shipping.
I checked parts.com, they do not carry parts for a 2010 prius. I am looking at Original Factory Equipment air filter for a 2010 prius. I have checked to the end of the internet with no luck. I see some places you can buy a pack of 10 air filters for about $60.00 but they are for the 2009 Prius. Alfon
I just bought the 2010 Prius air filter from my dealer. It is around $15 after 30% discount coupon. They sale oil filter (w/ plug) too around $5. The oil is around $6 per bottle.
I've always gotten good prices from Toyota Scion Parts Accessories Discounted Prices - Metrotpn , for all filters (engine oil, engine air, cabin air).
Please don't. I buy a lot of non-OEM stuff, particularly brake rotors (although they don't seem to last that long), but filters directly impact environment of the engine. I always, always go OEM on filters. Ignore claims by other manufacturers about better filtration and all that, always go OEM.
I got WIX cabin and engine filters off Amazon.com I prefer Bosch filters. I'm still hunting for best prices on those.
When I use up my stock of cabin air filters I am going to try buying a HEPA furnace filter and see if I can make a useful stack.
