Hey, what is that dusting the Prius on GT 5 track? A Nissan Versa? Check out below for another screenshot from Gran Turismo 5 and below that for a YouTube video of the 2nd Gen Prius in Gran Turismo 4.
Time to get a PS3, a racing chair and another Logitech G25 wheel. Gran Turismo is the only reason I want a PS3.
Been waiting for GT5 for a while (what has it been, like 5 years since they initially announced the game was in development?) The prologue was good but left much to be desired. Was seriously thinking of not purchasing the game due to lost interest, but these screen shots are changing my mind. Force - the PS3 makes a very good Blu-ray player as well.
I'm also trying to remember where that mountain is between north side of Chicago and the Wisconsin line... I'm wondering how the performance of the Prius compares to the other vehicles that would be in the game. I'm guessing that's one of the starter vehicles and you'd earn your way up to more powerful gas guzzlers.
I dont buy movies anymore. All my media is stored on a server and viewed through a Popcorn Hour on my TV. I will be switching over to something else soon like a Linux box running Boxee.
The PS3 also works for downloading Netflix movies/TV shows & maybe Hulu. Why maintain your own server (or DVD collection, for that matter) when everything is available online?
By the time they release it, Playstation 12 will be out. I personally think it looks a little more like Forza than the last time I saw screenshots. In career mode (in GT4, at least) you just start off with a set amount of cash and you can buy whatever you want. It's typically cost effective to purchase a used Lancer Evolution and burn though some races to raise cash (so you can buy access to more cars). However, a good racing line beats an Italian supercar any day of the week
While viewing the 2G Prius race in the GT4 video and hearing all the tire screeching, I assumed that the Prius were all running Goodyear Integrity tires. However the race results at the conclusion showed that they were Touring models...
THEY DID! It is called the Jetta Sportswagen: So let's look at how great that experiment worked out: Column 1 Column 2 Column 3 0 Jetta TDI Sportswagen Prius hybrid electric specification 1 92 ft{3} 94 ft{3} passenger volume 2 33 ft{3} 22 ft{3} luggage volume 3 2.0 L 1.8 L engine displacement 4 30 (35) 51 (35) City (Low) 5 35 (39.1) 50 (49.1) Composite (User average) 6 42 (44) 48 (60) Highway (High) http://www.fueleconomy.gov/ See just like a Prius! I understand the Jetta handling is so great that it makes up for the 25% MPG boost of the hybrid Prius over the diesel equivalent. Thanks for playing! Bob Wilson
