The mayor said he chose a Minneapolis firm for its green jobs and services, not because its owner donates to Democrats. Mayor R.T. Rybak proudly announced at a news conference Thursday that the city had just paid $5,000 to a new Minneapolis company to convert his city-owned Toyota Prius hybrid to an electric plug-in model. Shayna Berkowitz, co-owner of the company, grinned and said she hopes to be able to convert hybrids other than the Prius in "the very near future." In addition to being a green entrepreneur, Berkowitz also has been a major donor to Democratic causes, committees and candidates, having given them at least $282,000 since 2004, according to federal, state and county records. WOW, for a small busines to give almost $300,000 to any party in 6 years How much profit are they making
You call *that* graft ?! lol Try the military complex, agriculture, oil, roads or pharma for something about a million to 100 million times (each) more substantial to chew on.
I'm just impressed that my lil' ol' Prius with a 4kWh Enginer system is now something worthy enough to be the object of a graft gift. We are going main stream!
