Nissan announces the LEAF "drive electric tour". Check if it's blowing into your town

    Nissan just announced the "drive electric tour" that is taking the Nissan LEAF EV across the country beginning October 1st in Santa Monica, CA and going through the end of March, 2011 (ending in Nissan's US-hometown of Nashville, TN). You can only register for a limited number of cities right now since it looks like venues have not been chosen for the other cities, but take a look at the list and plan ahead.     Oh GREAT . . . Green Drive Expo ... (Oct 8) 100's of miles round trip, or the OC auto show giving Leaf test drives ... right accross the street form where I work (Oct 8).

    I work down here but I fly up to San Francisco about 3-4 times per year to work with our team up there. The flight is only about 45 minutes. You could schedule a Leaf test drive for early morning (I think the time slots start at 9am), then go to the airport and fly up to the green drive expo.

    ...unless you were planning on driving your gas guzzling Prius up there. :eek:

    I will be definitely going as it's not a long drive for me at all. But yes, I've hit the above about them not taking appointments yet.

    I'm unsure which day I'll be there. Hope to see some PCers there. :thumb:

    I got notification this morning that sign ups for WA opened up.
