Hi all, I need help. I have a set of 2003 Corolla rim and thinking on using it on my Prius 2007. The standard tire size for 2003 Corolla is 195/65R15 and currently my Prius has 185/65R15. Do you know if I can use that Corolla 2003 rim on Prius 2007? Thanks for the info.
Yep, won't be a problem. They are both 15" x 6" wheels. Just be aware that the Corolla wheels are 5lbs heavier each and may affect fuel economy slightly.
The only system affected by this modification would be the speedometer. The stock tire will rotate 824 times per mile vs 807 times per mile with the corolla wheels and tire. Speedometer reading with the non-stock tire will be 2.1% too slow. When your speedometer reads 60 mph, you are actually travelling at 61.3 mph. However, this is a very insignificant consequence when you consider the benefits of using a wider tire. I would recommend a set of ultra high performance all season tires to go with your new wheels. The bridgestones Potenza RE960 AS Pole Positions are excellent tires that provide good levels of feedback, confidence and fun. They transform the handling of the Prius in very positive ways!
