Hi i am Peter from Germany, i have a great offer for a prius III, but it is an US Version, so i don`t know the difference between EU and US Version, can someone tell me. regards Peter
Below are two links that should explain everything for you... LEE http://www.toyota-europe.com/cars/new_cars/prius/grade_compare.aspx http://www.toyota.com/prius-hybrid/features.html
thx for the overview, but there are still some probs, i heared that the front disks are different, even the rear brakes, there is a bubble in the tank in us and a boiler in the cooling system, so i ask me if an eu exhaust would fitt if ever need one does anybody know if it is possible to switch between km/h and mph
I can't speak to EU Priuses at all, but starting with the 2010 (3rd gen), even the US got 4 wheel disc brakes. On the 2nd gen (04-09), we only got rear drums. The bladder fuel tank that was on the 2nd gen is gone on the 3rd gen. I don't know what you mean by "boiler in the cooling system". There should be a button to switch between km/h and mph. However, I don't think any of the other indicators will change to metric. (That was that way it was on the 2nd gen.)
The US version does not have side marker lights on the fender and the FM radio will receive half of the frequencies. Only the speedometer can be changed to kph.
As JimN said above, only on the speedometer. It's frustrating because my wife is Japanese and she is constantly b1tching about not seeing any of the measurements in metric, only the speed on the speedo.
