I have a 2003 Prius with lost keys. Toyota dealer says new computer with keysand reprogram --$700-$800. Is this necessary or is there an alternate method?,,, TY
No need for a new computer. A good dealer can call Toyota for a new number and do a reset on the ECU. It takes a bit of time, so it isn't cheap, but it's a lot less expensive than a replacement. Obviously you still have to buy a new key fob. Tom
