Any rims are an upgrade to the stock rims as far as looks go. However i've never been particularly fond of the Scion TC rims. Though they are not outrageously heavy, they're kind of boring for me and don't stand out, especially on a white prius. If I were you I would go for something that's black, maybe a simple 5 spoke design, maybe with a little red trim. That would match your white great. I'd offer suggestions but personally I'm still looking too, haven't found my perfect rim.
did you look at the picture? those are the ones i want to put on it. those are not boring they are very colorful. haha just thinking about it for now...they will cost about 4k when done
Yeah I saw the picture. Hard to tell what color they are from the picture. Uhm...if you're going to spend $4000 on rims, I would go for super lightweight forged alloys or JDM rims, that would actually improve your ride AND give you better mileage. Wait did you seriously say it would cost $4000?!?! That is a lot of money for rims!! Even some of the most expensive rims don't go that high! Scion TC rims are not even worth $1000. If $4000 is what you have to play with, consider every other rim out there. LOL. Hey, you asked.
Check out these: Volk CE28n Wed's TC-005 SSR Type-C RS Again its absurd to spend $4000 on anything let alone scion rims.
Yeah, I have to agree with the other guys. Pick up any import tuner magazine and learn about what is available and then go to the wheel manufactures website and look for the proper size. There are some amazing looking wheels out there. Just put new Wedssport wheels on my car and love them. 19x8's and really lightweight and strong. Expensive and certainly not TC wheels. Save yourself from making a bad mistake. TC wheels shouldn't cost $4k no matter what you do to them. So many better options for less money.
4k is a LOT for wheels, and not in a "man I wish I could afford 4k wheels" way...you can get an absolutely stunning set for much less

Depending on your personal skill level, Duplicolor makes a couple of kits for painting black chrome and chameleon paint. I tried the chameleon paint on another vehicle's fusebox. Results were meh. However, I'm not opposed to finding a decent set of chrome rims and doing the black chrome treatment (It's called Duplicolor Shadow, they have videos on youtube). It's a funky blend of shiny/black/but a with a little iridescence, which I think we would go well with my winter gray metallic. Good luck! Eric
i have a nice set of subaru, 2005 outback, 3.0r, 18x7.5x55mm, 27lb. ea, with tpms, and michelin pilot a/s sports sitting in my closet to sell you. total cost new $3,200 now worth $500-$700  but for that money you get to say they were the first imported into the US and only ones on any vehicle for 2 years!!! save your money! i miss my 3.0r i don't miss 17 mpg in the city
