I am about to hit 100k and I plan on doing the following: 1) Transmission fluid 2) Brake Fluid 3) Engine/Inverter Fluid Any other suggestions? thanks
I recently got to 100K and I in addition to all of the items listed above (except the PCV valve) I replaced the inverter pump and the engine coolant pump. They're not very expensive and most of the time is spent refilling and bleeding the coolant out of the two systems. Check your engine coolant pump for weeping or leaking and replace it if it does. Once you put new coolant in the system (if it's like mine), you will notice more leaking. For the inverter pump, listen to it when you run the car with the ICE off -- if the pump is noisy or rattles, I'd replace it.
I replaced these two pumps at 150,000 miles. My 2004 had the older (less reliable design) inverter pump, but the OP probably has the newer version in his 2007 so hopefully his is still good. Checking the engine water pump (mechanical) for leaks is a good idea. My dealer blew the task of getting out the air in the engine coolant loop so keep an eye on the engine temp at highway speeds (and coolant level in the overflow tank) after doing the work (adding more Toyota SSL coolant, the pink one, eliminated the overheating).
