I've noticed a slight distortion on my driver's side mirror. If I move my head left to right and back, I can see some 'wobble' across the face. I wonder if the cold has anything to do with it? Anyone else notice this? (Go ahead and check...I'll wait )
Come to think of it...I haven't noticed. I can't even remember if the Prius has convex mirrors...and with the goofy bifurcated rear glass....I USE my mirrors! Are you sure there isn't an inscription in the mirror advising that "objects in the rear view mirror are closer than they appear."??
Haven't noticed the mirrors but one thing I have noticed is the sides/edges of the windshield. Lots of distortion there. Almost looking forward to replacing it someday.
In the European models the driver's side mirror is divided in two. The external part is convex to give a wider view. How are in the USA or Canadian models?
I noticed the same thing. It occurred a few days back when we had bitter cold (South Florida) weather (37 F). Now that it's warm again the mirror is back to normal.
In the USA, the driver's side mirror is (supposed to be) flat. The passenger's side is convex, with the "Objects In Mirror May Be Closer Than They Appear" warning.
My daughter's 2011 Fiesta does have a convex portion on both the driver's and passenger's mirrors. Upper left corner on the driver's side, upper right on the other.
I've noticed distortion of the mirror as well as parts of the windshield. And I know my eyesight is great cause it was just tested!
