I just read through the accidents reports. Now, after searching the net I found no information on after market Lane Keep Assist units. There is no a way to install a Toyota or Aftermarket Lane keep install on my V? No one offers it? Thank you for your knowledge! Thanks
It's a lot more involved than you think. Someone asked this question before and there was a whole list of parts that I looked up that required retrofitting. Remember that LKA requires the camera, radar, all the associated computers and master controllers, the steering wheel assist controller, an audible warning of some sort and so on. LKA is also usually tied with PCS and DRCC.
Thank you you brought up many things I had not thought of! I now realize that was not a bright question. Thank You!
Lane departure warning works by itself. Lane keep assist works in conjunction with dynamic radar cruise control. In order for LKA to work the way it should, you'd also need to add DRCC. Aadding DRCC also adds PCS. As far as we know you would need add or replace 30 or more components. http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii-2010-prius-accessories-modifications/84389-how-add-drcc-lka.html
