Ammobob, Thank you very much. It is good to start new year with something this "meaty" to occupy my idle time. As to the poll, I can't vote. I'm still a firm believer in
Great video. Thomas Huxley responded to the claim that god created fossil bones to confuse us by stating, "I do not believe that god would have written across the rocks such an enormous and all-pervading lie." Of course, maybe there is a god and it is a practical joker, or just an all-around jackass, and did just that. But nowadays, fossil deniers usually blame the fossils on the devil. But here we have a case that's pretty clear in favor of evolution, and since Christians think god created us, they can't really blame the chromosomes on the devil with any credibility. But it is possible that a jackass god made us this way to confuse us. Which is why I do not claim to know that there is no god. But I believe there is not. Great video!
Yes. The whole point of creationism is to deny (most) evolution. However, evolution is fully compatible with many theologies.....as stated by Ken Miller on his own beliefs as a Catholic.
While I am skeptical of their views, I would never claim that many monotheistic religious groups do not exist. I have seem them.
Do you mean the study of evolution, or perhaps the theories? Surely you're not suggesting life has never evolved?
No, the point of the theory of evolution is to explain how life evolved. It has nothing to do with disproving mythology.

Personally , I do not like it when the numbers get in between my teeth! I do believe I love Apple, however!!!
For me, they're not. I see evolution explaining how life evolved on Earth, and creationism explaining how it began. Evolution is the development of life. Creation is when that first spark of life occurred, the moment when inert compounds and chemicals first began to live. That's how I see it. One is science, the other is...something else.
Belief. A leap of faith. I'm okay with not being able to explain everything with science. In fact, I prefer it that way.
No. Where things got really nasty is when the Creationism movement made the defacto claim that anyone supporting evolution was anti-god. That's the real problem and why it is one sided. (PS. There are supporters of evolution that claim that evolution proves there is no god.....and that is just as faulty.)
Thus my problem Bra... My biggest problem... is actually the "base 4" thing... so simple... so elegant... yet... not seen as one that was created by so many with a brain... Me... I still think there is a process that we don't get yet... and it leads to the creator... Which... May be a "process"
