This morning the dimmer for the dash didn't work, and my headlight indicator didn't show I had on high beams when I flipped the lever... Are they connected via a relay/fuse that I can check... Thanks in advance Bob Jr
This might be a stupid question, but are you sure your headlights were on? The dimmer won't work and the high beam indicator won't show up with the headlights off.
I dropped the car off at the dealership at 9am... and ended up in the frau's minivan to finish my day. They still have it... They haven't called me yet, so I'm fairly certain it isn't me and a bonehead thing...
The call from the dealership was to tell me I have to wait until tomorrow... they are replacing one switch and the shop is expecting the part today. No charge... I was thinking that maybe they did something to the car, because I did bring it in for the 25,000 mile service last Saturday... but then again... it is my luck... electrical demons... and I did buy a car that has that "feature" as the primary system... so, I'm fairly certain it was just my ownership that brought an early problem to the forefront. Now when I go in, I want them to point out where I can mount an air horn... I'm telling ya I want the same thing as I have in the Jeep... the little "meep meep" that comes standard ain't cutting it with Jr...
Thanks Patrick... I did read several threads about em... and my friend with a nice Camry let me hear hers... I will probably do that too, but, still a little toooooo nice for Jr... I want window rattling noise, like what's in the Jeep... loud enough that they CAN'T ignore my horn... unlike what I live with now.:rockon:
Lights working as they should now... They replaced the light switch on the left side of the column... they didn't give me any more details than that. it looks a little different because the end of the switch is clean... it wasn't this shiny before... I don't think I turned that switch more than about twenty times since I bought the car...I leave the lights on while running usually... Thank you Toyota...
Re: Lights working as they should now... Glad to hear this problem was solved. I assume your car has HID headlights since your profile shows option pkg 6. Maybe we'll see a "second complaint" when those lights fail...
Re: Lights working as they should now... I sure hope not Bra... I like this little car... Oh and thanks for the suggestion... I had heard it before in here... and it made me want to hear the difference in the noise... Now I gotta find the right airhorn unit to put into this little car... cause to be honest with ya... the three horn unit I have in the Jeep, and the other cars I have had over the days... ain't looking like I can fit it into the space I think I have under the bonnet... But I will find the right one that doesn't make the car reverberate as the pump is working...
