Hello Everyone, Well, I am the proud owner of a brand new 2011 Prius Three, black w/bisque interior. Got it from the dealer on Feb 12 with exactly 1 mile on it. This is quite a change for me as I traded in a 2004 Chevy Tahoe which I was averaging around 14 mpg around town. Yikes! At $3.29/gal that gets pretty expensive. I must say I am really enjoying my new car. It is a very quiet and smooth ride. I averaged 41.2 mpg on my first tank but after my first fill-up I am in the 47-48 range right now. Hopefully, as I get to understand the car better, I will be able to improve on this number. I am looking forward to learning about my new car over the coming months and I know this forum will be a great resource. I look forward to some great discussions. Thanks everyone and happy motoring!
Congrats! I had 17 miles on my PRIUS and while purchasing it, my salesperson had to run down an older couple who nabbed it to test drive. Wait till Spring and Summer, you'll really see a difference in gas mileage. Expect 50 plus!:welcome:
Congrats on your new Prius and welcome to PriusChat. Black would have been my color choice, but I didn't order and got Barcelona Red which may be cooler than black. Gas at $3.29 may be a bargain in another 6 months! Enjoy the MPG's, technology and low-emissions. You'll find plenty to research and chat about here.
No kidding I was at the Dealer today (oil change) And wanted to look at this color combo! He said he has not seen one yet, Can't wait to see it!! Just filled up 3.59 gal here was like 2.79 a week ago! Good color choice,Enjoy many happy and carefree miles driving this car!
