Rush Limbaugh Mocks Quake Refugees

Will you please STOP listening to Limbaugh. He's a person who ought to be debated on the House floor along with radicalism.

 

My internet connection here in Washington DC sucks so I can't connect to that link and I'm having difficulties connecting here. It must be all the static in the air. But before I even investigate this any further I'm 99% certain the quote was taken out of context or otherwise misrepresented, if not shame on Rush. Nevertheless, you and the Huff have probably increased his audience by a couple of percentage points. Rush thanks you, :thumb: because he's smart enough to know that any expoursure in the news is like free advertising for him.

Remember last week when it seemed like you were hoping the Prius plant was impacted by the quake? A Shreveport, Louisana GM plant that makes pickups is having to cut hours waiting on Japanese parts.

FYI: Rush drives an Escalade and endorses GM on his show.

Perhaps, if Mr. Limbaugh was in the earthquake, with the sumnami, and trying to deal with the radiation issues, he would have a different perspective on the situation in
Japan.

The best we can due with a person like him is not talking about him.


We can all offer a prayer and perhaps donation to assist the Japanese people, this is their time of greatest need.

Candidates he backs start losing in the GOP primaries.

And finally, like Sen Joe McCarthy, he gets ignored.

I withdrew from the political forum for a reason. I'd like to be able to come to the Pancakes thread and not have to see politics.

Why is this not being enforced by the moderators?

 

I love me some Limbaugh-bashing as much as the next bleeding-heart liberal, but yeah, why ARE all these political threads escaping FHOPolitics lately? I left there for a reason, too!

 

Edit: I was going to be quiet, but one 2nd thought, it's not me or the other members that should be sorry.

It's that radio personality that twists quake victims into a political issue that should be apologizing, and lacks the decency to do so.

 

Good point. Even if someone is a politician, not everything they say is political. In this case he isn't even a politician, but a radio personality. When Imus called the basketball players "nappy headed hos" we didn't banish the outrage to the political forum, nor should we here.
