Hello, I'm brand new at this I hope the is the Forum for this thread. I'l be ordering a new Five in a couple of hours, and was wondering if there are any last minutes items that I should bring up before I sign the deal. Michigan Newbee:juggle:
No,.I did not get the Advanced Tech. Pkg. I got. the Nav. Pkg. w/out the extra options. Actually after reading allot of threads, I scaled back my ordered options to only the Nav. Package, after reading about the items I can get from this site, i.e. floor mats applique, lower body molding. Thanks
Assuming you got your new Prius, I'm hoping you're having as much fun as I am driving this awesome car. Welcome to PriusChat.
No Prius yet, I have to wait 10 weeks, but I continue to search other close dealers, in the evnt that my dealler can trade for it. The wait will give me more time to sell my MINI Cooper
If they refuse or try to charge you, you can always get* a ScanGauge and do it yourself. Not a cheap option, unless you then use the ScanGauge to improve your fuel economy.
Omg I understand... Is there a way to shut off the beeping, or make it beep only once.... Mine sounds like a Mack truck backing up
About that backup beep, I assume it is only audible on the inside of the car, is that correct? Can't really test this alone now can you! I guess I could have one of my kids come out and tell me if they hear beeping in the driveway. Please tell me it's only on the inside. That wouldn't bother me at all.
Only on the inside. Ask about the dealer's policy on customizable settings before signing the papers.
Funny how this thread devolved into the back up beep issue. As an engineer (not a professional photographer as some think) I can see the requirements now: Customer: When the car is put into reverse, there should be a repeating beep to warn that the vehicle is backing up. Engineer: We already have a beep mechanism in the car, I'll just program that... Customer: D-oh! Forget to add, it should be audible outside the car, and not inside. Really, you all know this was a first class requirements mistake, right? Toyota didn't mean for it to beep on the inside.
