Any other Prius owners with big dogs? Here is a pic of our Great Dane in the back... We have a Greyhound that rides with her back there as well, just not today!
Anybody know of a barrier that will keep a dog out of the front seat? I have a golden that wants to drive.
Got a yellow one that's a bit smaller, she usually rides back in the hatch, he rides in the back seat.
when i met my wife she had a dane. i sat on the sofa and she put her head on my knee and i couldn't get up. that pretty much sealed the deal.
My screen name is Dubs. Unfortunately, we just had to put Dubs down almost three weeks ago. Cancer had stolen 35 pounds off his 120 pound body. He was 1/2 pony and took his last car ride in our new Prius. Now we have Isabelle left. An English Bulldog/Diva/Smile generator. She is really lonely. Our son has a great dane in Texas and the largest dog in the world, 'Gibson' was from our town. He lost his battle with cancer too.
We have a couple of labs (one is a mix) that average ~60lb each and do fine as long as a seat is down. With both seats down our current foster dog (pitbull, about the same size as the labs) is happy to travel back there with the others. They each pick a spot and sleep. Foster puppies actually make things worse because they usually need a crate. We might have to upgrade to a V if this keeps up!
Thought the title said Any Prius owners with big dongs? and was by the same guy who wrote: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii-2010-prius-audio-electronics/94087-slappin-in-prius.html
He's smashing his mother with the tail whip(english mastifs) My big (16.3 hands) dog Got a couple this color, a litter next week also
Those are some pretty big pooches. I sincerely hope nobody gets into a collision with 100+ pounds of unrestrained live cargo in the rear of the car!! Good Luck everybody!!!
Maybe you could put down the rear seats and tether the dog to one of the cargo tie-downs to restrict it's forward movement? Posted from my iPhone via the Tapatalk app.
I bought a back seat deluxe hammock from Orvis Dog for our pooches. Keeps them safe while keeping dog hair out of my car. Goes in and out in less than a minute and has tether holes with access to seatbelt. Perfect!
We have a greyhound, too. He can ride in the hatch area with the back seats upright, but he has to lie down. It's fine for short trips. I doubt you could do that with that horse you have. Oh, wait, that's a Great Dane. My mistake.
