This article speaks to the efficacy of stability control systems. Here is the link: SUVs now least likely vehicles to roll over - Jun. 9, 2011 Tom
Now if they could figure out an electronic system to fix the idiots who drive them. I can't be the only one whose driven on I-94 in Michigan during the winter and seen endless numbers of morons in the ditch, the overwhelming number of which are SUVs.
I find in unfortunate that this rating: (1) Does not perform an apples-to-apples comparison, separating vehicles with stability control from those without; (2) Excludes all non-driver deaths. This completely excludes my SUV hot button, which is the non-occupant deaths that are so much higher from SUVs and pickups than from passenger cars.
