Can anyone recommend a tint shop in the Chicago area? I contacted two, Umbra and Summit but their prices are quite different. Thanks.
have you thought about tinting the car yourself? The Prius is actually one of the easiest cars I have done. The back window is the trickiest due to the wiper blade (makes it difficult to cut out the right shape) but other than that... Piece of cake. You can do it for $60 or less depending on what tint you buy.
Pick a shop that provides a lifetime guarantee on the materials they use & installation. I searched a bit to find a shop providing Suntek film for this reason. It's a good idea to do some "homework" on the Internet to understand the different tint film providers and other people's experiences with the products.
Yeah thanks I am doing that for sure. I would rather pay an extra hundred bucks for something that will be fixed if it bubbles up in a year.

Umbra did a flawless job tinting the windows in my Phaeton (a notoriously difficult car to tint - most won't even touch it). I'm sorry I didn't use him again when it came time to do the Prius...
