When I first brought up the subject of Push Button Drive in the Gen 2 Forum, I had no idea that the OSG Accessory Modification existed. From what I see in this video, the OSG IPS Switch is incredibly easy to install in a Gen 3 Prius. It takes these guys more time to pick out the colors of the buttons, than it did to install the unit. (Maybe thanks to editing, it is not quite as easy as they make it look.) Check out the size difference in the original shifter that they remove, compared to the OSG that they install. I am trying to include a link from U-Tube showing the install that I am referring to. Not sure PC will let me include the link. I put it under "Trackback." I am hoping that OSG will produce one of these for the Gen 2 Prius. I can't help but wonder if this G3 version could actually be used in a Gen 2 Prius with some retooling of the dash? Other than the location and minor cosmetics, I don't see any difference between the Original G2 & G3 Shifters. Any thoughts?
I think he's referring to the push button shifter like this http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...-switch-shifter-backlight-installed-pics.html except for Gen II Prius.
Right, that is what I am referring to. Yours looks Great! PC wouldn't let me include the U-Tube Link that I mentioned. It is from cargoodsfocus in Japan. This might help in locating it on U-Tube. (CGF) OSG from cargoodsfocus. Maybe a more senior member here can post it.
I've installed the unit many weeks ago and time used was about 10 minutes. Its OGS (not OSG) and the same from TOM's is available in black too. But I doubt it fits 2nd gen too.
