Did anyone else notice in the last frame of the show Suburgatory last week the family drives what looks like a black Prius v? Is this the first product placement?
Cause that would stand for Wagon and for some reason, despite the fact that wagons are getting very popular in all their various names, people have an allergic reaction to the term "wagon" So it's "versatile" but versa was already taken, so they called it "v", which has got to go down in history as the worst name choice after Edsel and NoVa Peter+
They should've called it Prius plus and then call the Prius plus the TRD edition. It not only sounds better and makes more sense, it makes explaining to people easier too. They really screwed up imo.
True...when I picture "wagon" I see the wood paneling and the seat in the back that always faced the wrong direction
Yes, I did notice that last week. It was the first time I saw the show so I do not if it is a regular placement. If my memory serves me I thought the color was Blue.
They needed to make a name that spells out easily on the rear door. I couldn't imagine seeing 'prius plus' spelled out on the rear hatch door. Most important thing is that it hits the road, people see it and hopefully, in huge numbers go down and buy one!
In Jaunuary, I showed a pic of the newly introduced Acura TSX Sportwagon to my niece. She said 'you should bow your head when you see that, it looks like a hearse'.... TSX Sportwagon - Fortunately the v doesn't look too much like a typical wagon because of its smooth line of the hood, windshield and roof. The old Caprice Wagons and panel wagons are pretty hideous. v is not.
