Happy Thanksgiving to all the Priuschatters out there. Even though there are many gloomy things happening these days, we still have lots to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving... I just hope you ain't celebrating it for the reason the first one was done... and that you have family and friends to share the celebration of harvest with.
True. Happy Thanksgiving to you too. I have not celebrated a traditional Thanksgiving since becoming a vegetarian and being invited to a dinner at which the ONLY item without meat or meat products was an enormous bowl of plain, unseasoned, boiled eggplant. But I am thankful every day (not just on November 24) for my health and financial independence which, taken together, allow me to enjoy fun activities. In this world of suffering and cruelty, in spite of being alone and often lonely, I have it damn good.
Daniel, I'm sorry, I should have invited you to our place!! We're having Tofurkey, stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, yams, carrot salad, rolls, gravy, pumpkin pie, cranberry stuff, and fruit salad! All vegan!! Today will be the BEST!! I'm thankful for friends, including all my Priuschat friends!! along with family, most of which will be at our house to share our feast... and I'm thankful that life is good.
My wife and I did the Turkey yesterday. She has to work his afternoon. Just finished my first Turkey Sandwich, Yummmmm! Now for another slice of that great apple pie my wife makes..... Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. I just got back from my family Thanksgiving and we lost count at 50 ! We too are very blessed.
Thank you, Justin. Thank you, too, Rene. I'd have been unlikely to go all the way to Seattle, though. When I first quit eating meat, I gave serious thought to the question of fake meat. In the end I decided that if I ate fake meat I'd always know I was getting an imitation. I decided to ween myself entirely from the taste of meat. The strategy worked, and now I don't like fake meat. I've had it from time to time, and it tastes too much like the real thing for me. How do you keep the dishes from falling off the shelves when your house is lying on its side like that? For that matter, how do you stick to the floor when it's a wall? I'd love to be able to do that. My dinner yesterday was the same vegetable soup I might have made on any other given day. Dessert was the same fruit I always eat.
