Hey Ya'll, My first post! Just picked up a Hertz 2010 Prius II (43,000mi) for the wifey and already removed the wheel covers and disassembled the entire dash to remove the pink "fuzzy" screen from the energy monitor which was making the readout very unreadable. So far, been getting about 46mpg with new Michelin X radial tires. Later!
Welcome and enjoy your new ride. My daughter moved out to Irving, TX a few years ago and we visited some friends of friends in Plano while out there. Nice place to visit and I would love to go back.
Hi from Rowlett. Yesterday I found two 240v charging stations in Garland that I can use to charge my Plug-In when it gets here in a few months. Looking forward to driving a Prius.
There are two Level II chargers in the corner of the parking lot for the Garland Police Boxing Gym at the corner of W. Avenue A & S. 9th St in Garland. There is a single Level II charger in front of the Garland CityCare Clinic at 1720-B Commerce St (Near the City Car Impound Lot). This is at the intersection of Commerce St & Bay Way, Garland. This the closest to me - less then 4 miles from my home in Rowlett. When I get my PiP, I will probably frequent this one. All these chargers require a Blink Network RFID card. I submitted the info and photos of these chargers to CarStations.com two days ago, but they haven't shown up there yet. These charger are on the Blink Network Map, but the two in downtown Garland are erroneously addressed at 800 Main instead of where they are located at W. Avenue A & S. 9th St in Garland. They're about one block away from 800 Main. I had to do some foot work to find them. 800 Main is a Garland City office building with no parking places. That is probably where the Blink Network bill goes, but not where any charging places are located. I walked around that building twice looking for the charging stations before branching out.
I live in the same area and didn't do much better having to use the defroster and all. You'll get better once the tires get broke in. I'm on fuelly dot com, have tracked every mile and give where I fueled. I would be interested in benchmarking against a same Prius if you start entering your numbers online.
