U.S. News - Democrat's cat beaten to death, 'liberal' scrawled across it Getting past the obvious animal cruelty issues, I don't think the disturbed person that did this behaved very Republican - at least back 20 or so years ago. This comes close to one of those Satanic animal sacrifices that most in the GOP, and certainly the social conservatives would be appalled about. I bet that cat had more sense than the dirtbag that killed it.
Funny how your thread, clearly political, gets to stay in FHoP and my thread about OWS protestors stealing from churches, not political, gets moved to FHoPol. Sort of reminds me of the Lame Street Media's coverage of liberal/conservative issues. If it's bad for liberals no coverage if it's bad for conservative's it's get's the headline and liberal head's explode. :glare:
^ I would not rule out it getting moved eventually. In the story, the GOP candidate condemned the killing of the Demo Campaign Mgrs. cat. As to who did it, (1) just a very disturbed person that may be legally insane, (2) a Democrat attempting to smear Republicans, (3) an overly partisan or overly angry person. They are all possibilities. I doubt the vast majority of people identifying themselves as Republican would condone this action.

Actually, you pretty much have a grip on how things work. Add that the more we get called names and insulted (even as a glancing blow) the less active we tend to be towards that person. Case study: ask why a thread isn't moved to another forum and add a side-kicker calling the Moderators blatantly biased and comparing them to Lame Stream Media even though there have been numerous examples to the contrary and several friendly PMs and all you get is an answer about the forums.
FWIW, my motivator was the crazy/angry aspect of this instance of cruelty - just like the recent one on a homeless person skinning/eating a cat. I don't think person that killed this cat fairly represents either political party any more than most would be assassins - like the ones that tried to get Giffords and Reagan for instance.
