    fwiw today is the first time since Nov 27 2011 that I've connected to Prius chat from home.

    I just replaced the old router which apparently went flaky.

    I changed my browser from Firefox to Google Chrome and the site runs faster on Google Chrome for me. I also cleared the history I hope this helps.

    I run Chrome too and while I like it as a browser, better then even Firefox which I ran for years, it's not the browser which is making the site go down throughout the day...

    chrome may work faster on this site but if you try to print ebay/paypal shipping labels with it you're asking for a world of hurt & frustration.

    its annoying to try to remember which sites i need to run with chrome and which sites I need to run with firefox, but if that is my biggest problem of the day I'm not going to voice my complaints very loudly.

    I hope when servers are updated and things begin to run smoother there will be big messages on the priuschat home screen. Until then I'm coming once a week instead of on a daily basis.

    I'm sure that Danny is aware of this problem, and that he is working his butt off to try to fix it. If he hasn't posted here yet, it's probably because he still has no news to report.

    Or maybe he's on vacation and will deal with it when he gets back. :D

    Nope not on a vacation, but busy yesterday with all the Prius c information learned last week. I had emailed him about the issues we all are experiencing and didn't hear back.

    Hi guys -

    Quick update from me. I've had the server guys looking for the reason behind the recent major slowdowns on the site and based on their research and my own, as soon as we hit 100,000 threads the other day the search mechanism for vBulletin completely crapped out. The queries it uses to do any search on the site are taking way too long and creating a bottleneck for the rest of the site.

    For now I have shut down the search function on the site, which is going to upset a lot of people, I'm sure. The search function powers the View New Posts feature, a feature that I know I use all day long. As soon as I can sort out what to do to keep the site stable and enable the search function, I will. For now I would advise just going to your favorite forums and check for new posts you're interested in.

    Hopefully I'll have more news soon...

    Still slow this morning. I tried logging out and back in again. No difference. Using Chrome here. It was slow yesterday also. (Sometimes it loads immediately, other times it's slow.)

    It's been very erratic. Much faster now than an hour and a half ago, when it was much slower than half an hour before that.
