Has anyone with the Nav 11.1 update been able to get in to the Service Menu? I have tried both the finger dance and the headlight routine that worked with the 8.1 and neither of these methods would work. I recall seeing where someone with 11.1 stated that they were able to get to the Service Menu. If so, how were you able to do this?
Sorry, that is the Maintenance Menu. I am looking for the Service Menu which is meant to be a hidden Toyota Tech menu but we were able to get to this menu prior to the 11.1 update. Thanks
With 190 reads and only one response let me ask the question another way. If you have the 11.1 Nav, have you attempted to get to the Service Menu and were not able to do so? This will help us know that Toyota removed this feature with 11.1.
I forget which nav. ver. I have but try pressing and holding the info button and turning your headlights on then off four times, it works for me. Posted from my iPhone via the Tapatalk app.
Dustoff, You are the man ! While holding down the Info button, when I went to off after the third headlight on the Service Menu popped up. Good deal ! Do you know of a way to exit the Service Menu without having to power off? There used to be a way with previous versions but I could not exit without powering down. Thanks so much, Dwight
Dwight, I am just regurgitating what I have read here on PC and actually retained. I don't know of another way out other than powering down.
Ed, Your comment above made me go back and search for Service Menu and pull up some older threads including one where 2009Prius has a demo on how to do the finger dance on the Display screen. I tried the finger dance routine again and after 3 or 4 tries it did work. I was just giving up after the first try. So, the 11.1 update works the same as before with the Service Menu. I thought I had retained how to do this both ways but it looks like I just needed a refresher course to remember how to do it correctly Thanks, Dwight
Just to follow up on how to exit the Service Menu without powering down and back up. Hold the Display button for a few seconds. The Nav unit will reboot and return to your previous screen. I called up the Service Menu while driving to work this morning. It was interesting to watch the different menus in real time, especially the vehicle speed sensor pulses and vehicle speed. At 60 mph displayed on Speedometer the vehicle speed based on the sensor pulses is 58 mph. Once again indicating that the computers know the correct vehicle speed even though it is displaying an artificially high speed.
In my 2011 Pruis IV, I got into the service menu by choosing the info button and using the lights on/off method. Unfortunately there is nothing useful in it. There are system checks and GPS satellite info but nothing I can change.
