    Any body knows what is Prius v "CO2 emissions"?

    All I'm able find is 66% less than conventional car; but what is the real number?

    Syscon, I haven't checked the math but an app I'm using reports this on one tank. This is what it calculated:

    382 mi driven
    9.34 gallons
    Mpg 40.92
    CO2 181.2 lbs

    Here is my equation (not sure what EPA is doing exactly)

    grams CO2/mile = (3785 x 0.75 x 0.85 x 44) / (12 x MPG) = 211 g/mile

    where:
    3785 = ccs/gal
    0.75 grams/cc = gaso density (approx)
    0.85 wt frac carbon in gasoline (approx)
    44= Mole wt of CO2
    12= Mole wt of C
    MPG = insert 42 for Prius v combined EPA

    ...that looks like good number 215 g CO2/mile because you are slightly lower 41 MPG
