Hello, On our new 2011 Prius with about 2000 miles on it I noticed a gasket kind of squished out from the engine. I'm going to take it in to have the dealer take a look. I was just looking for opinions on whether it should be addressed right away or if it should be ok to wait until the 5000 mile service. Engine oil level is staying right on the full line and the coolant level looks fine so everything appears to be holding level. Thanks for taking a look, Jason

Thanks, Didn't catch that thread before. I will leave it there and just have it noted at the 5,000 mile service.
This is totally normal and it's not a gasket but rather Toyota sealant. Toyota uses a sealant to seal many areas and it is quite common to see it squeeze out. It will hurt nothing and sometimes a little more is better than less. Don't pull it off or scrape it off as you could interrupt the seal.
Here sone info from another thread on this. http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...paste-squeezing-out-engine-2.html#post1446509
