I have four Yokohama Avid S33d from my Prius for sale. They will be coming off the car this week. 7/32" on all 4, even wear. No sidewall damage and never had any patches. Make me an offer.
What dealer was this? I notice the Energy Saver A/S will be available again next week and if I can get a good price from my brand new AVIDs I'd be willing to switch.
michelin has their usual $70 mail in rebate going on right now, try tirebuyer.com their prices seem unbeatable with no tax and free shipping.
Do dealers typically offer a trade in credit for tires? I didn't know they did this. Anyone know what tire dealers in Orange County do this, and what they would offer for a new set of oem yokos? Please post up. Thanks
Discount Tire will. They also have a $100 rebate this weekend, but this usually means they will be skimpy with their trade-in offers. I think they usually give $100-200 depending on the mood of the salesperson.
I got a credit for mine because of the severe tramlining issue. It felt like they were reluctant to do so unless there were manufacture defects. Either way they gave me 50% credit for my tires. Thankfully the S33D is an expensive tire and the AVID Ascend retails for less. My advice is to try and do it while your tires are new. The again, TheCritic got a nice credit and his tires were already worn down so maybe take his advice.
