totally new to hybrid but looking to replace my '08 Corolla LE w/110K miles, I'm a fan of new car warranties having fixed cars and kept them forever for 45 years. New technology and advancing age have sailed that ship. My potential dealer said he could retrofit heated seats. Any experience with this? He said they would be bottom and back. This was an improvement made in my 2011 Outback, certainly worth the $500 option for heated seats, mirrors and windshield wiper heaters. Anyone had this added to their V? Any idea of cost? Did they give 3/36 warranty? Thanks in advance.
Yes, I added this to our v3 since heated seats were on my wife's list for a new car. They sent the car to a local aftermarket installer to get the seat heaters and the auto start installed. The cost was built into the sale price but any warranty is provided by the installer. The dealer recommended the aftermarket auto start since other customers have been really dissatisfied with the Toyota unit due to the limited range. Others went with the Toyota unit since they didn't want another remote. Choice is nice. So far, the seat heaters work great and have a high and low setting. They installed the switch just below the lumbar support switch. Parts and labor were something like $300 per side. Kind of high but I didn't want to deal with the air bags in the seat cushions. I ordered the parts to install seat heaters in my truck for $60 per side.
My potential dealer said he could retrofit heated seats. Any experience with this? Had heated seats added to my wife's new Cruze...As someone stated, dealer sent the car to an offsite installer...seats/backs...three position rocker switches...$400.00 total....
