I'm very active on my other car forum and I've learned an invaluable amount about my car, so I figured this would only be right that I join to learn about my new car. I just picked up a 2012 Prius Three and so far I extremely happy with it, especially after getting 11-13 mpg in my other car. I bet your wallet went, "OMG... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU." Wow... 11-13 mpg... That must be relief to almost triple or quadruple your fuel economy.
You have joined the many who put their families first. Pay for all this gas to Look Macho at the expense of my family or Get a Prius and spend the money on vacation or entertainment for the kids. You chose wisely my friend!!
Thank you everyone. That is exactly correct. I have a heavily modified cobra mustang that is basically a toy but I have to keep it parked for the sake of my family. Of course I can afford to drive it, its just not economically sound to commute in it. And now that I have my second child on the way and a wife that stresses safety and security of driving a reliable car so I made the decision. After driving for over a week now, I couldn't be happier. I use to think that they were just eco boxes but when I'm in it I feel like I'm getting the greatest bang for my buck and it has all the creature features I could ever ask for. I love this car.
It's kinda nice being able to drive and not wonder if the noise you just heard was detonation or a suspension component coming loose or..... I've been there.
It's more entertaining to drive with someone who has never been in a hybrid car, you come to a stop and watch them go, "Did the engine just die?"
